Oct.26 Simi Valley Wildfire

The fire came within about 300 feet of my backyard. At the point of this posting (8 pm Oct. 26), it has burned between 90 and 100 thousand acres. The following pictures might give you an idea of the intensity of the fire and the effort by the firefighters to prevent any loss of homes in my neighborhood. We had a fire engine from Millbrae (350 miles north of Simi Valley) sitting in front of our house for about an hour until the danger passed.
